    This research aimed to quantify the cost of goods sold of paddy in Soppeng. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis with quantitative approach.
    The results of this research indicate, calculation of the cost of production of paddy farming of dried grain harvest costing process approach using biological transformation in the dry cropping season amounted to Rp1.408 / kg, for the planting season rains cost of production amounting to Rp1.967 / kg. Thus, the cost of production of unhusked rice harvests a year amounting to Rp1.638 / kg. Of the cost of production of dry grain harvested in the year were still under when compared with the government purchase price amounting to Rp3.800 / kg, demonstrating the concern of the government to farmers. As for the calculation of the cost of rice production amounted to Rp6.422 / Kg and byproducts such as bran resulted in the cost of production amounting to Rp2.679 / kg.
